This ticked me off:

I’ve never made more than $55,000 per year, certainly not exceeding the statistical norm of the American middle class, but tell me something: Why is it the government’s job to try to curb income inequality? Why is it the government’s job to redistribute other people’s money for no other reason than government policy dictating that it does so?
I don’t know about you, but I would get highly ticked off if someone took my hard-earned money just because I allegedly made too much and then gave it to a government that essentially flushed it down the toilet. And don’t tell me that isn’t happening. The U.S. government is some $22 TRILLION in debt. Does that sound like a government that has spent money wisely? So we should give them even more money? To do what with it? Leave a country even deeper in debt for future generations?
I won’t even get into the so-called Medicare-for-all debate among supporters of Liz Warren, Bernie Sanders, AOC and others, because there’s any number of things the government can spend money on, and it has done so like the town drunk at a liquor store. It may sound trite to reference the famous Margaret Thatcher quote that the problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of everyone else’s money, but from a practical standpoint, where will this money come from? The rich? Do you think rich people will stick around to get robbed? Most rich people didn’t get rich by being stupid, and I can’t think of many people who want more of their money taken by a government that will not spend it sensibly or sustainably. The government doesn’t deserve more of our money to spend recklessly to pile up even more debt for future generations. I dare you to try to change my mind.
